2011 PEARL PIRATE COACHING STAFF

Coach John Perry is in his 4th year at Pearl High School. He is the head football coach, offensive line coach and assistant athletic director. He has previous experience at Kosciusko High School for 5 years (2003-2008), Northeast Mississippi Community College for 2 years (2001-2003), Wayne County High School for 1 year (2000-2001), and 6 years at Pearl High School (1994-2000). He received his master degree from Mississippi College and his bachelor degree from Harding University. John and his wife Stephanie have two children, Haley and J.
Coach Kevin Worrell is in his 4th year at Pearl High School. He is the defensive coordinator, strength coach, and inside linebackers coach. He has previous experience at Forest High School for 18 years and Kosciusko High School for 5 years. He is a graduate from Mississippi State University. Kevin and his wife Barbara have 2 sons, Jonathan and Nathaniel.
Coach Korey Welch is in his 4th year at Pearl High School. He is the Head Junior High Coach, offensive coordinator, quarterbacks and running backs coach. He has previous experience at Nettleton High School for 9 years and at Kosciusko High School for 4 years. He is a graduate from the University of Mississippi.
Coach Jimmy Kennedy is in his 18th year at Pearl High School. He is the head junior high coach for track and field. He received his bachelor and master degrees from Mississippi College. Jimmy and his wife Patricia have 2 children, Lindsey and Kristin.
Coach David Streit is in his 12th year at Pearl High School. He is the wide receivers coach and 9th grade offensive line coach. He has previous experience at Puckett High School and T.L. Weston High School. He is a graduate from the University of Mississippi. David and his wife Karen have 1 child, Savannah.
Coach Ray Durr is entering his 5th year at Pearl High School. He coaches linebackers and is the Head 9th Grade coach. He has 4 years of coaching experience at Pearl High School and Florence High School. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He and his wife Tiffany have one son, Jack.
Coach Dwight Knight is in his 5th year at Pearl High School. He coaches defensive ends. He is a graduate of Jackson State University. Dwight and his wife Vickie have 3 children, Darius, Tylan, and Austin.
Coach Jonathon Worrell is
in his 4th year at Pearl High School. He
coaches defensive backs and is an assistant coach for the 7th and 8th grade teams.
He is a graduate of Mississippi College and his wife’s name is Cheryl.
Coach
Steve McCann is in his first year at Pearl High School, with 16 years of
previous coaching experience at Desoto Central High School and Brandon High
School. He is a graduate of Belhaven
University. He and his wife Stacey have
2 children, Champ and Aldy.
